Seemed to recall we had a Boxing Day game at Selhurst years ago
Looked it up and it was against Wimbledon there in 1999.
A 2-2 draw with Sinclair & Lampard scoring
Main reason I remember it was because they carefully scheduled the trains back so after kickoff everyone just missed a train back to civilisation by about 5 mins and then had to hang about for about 45 mins for the next one.
I imagine only West Ham fans were using that line that day so of course it was scheduled for maximum annoyance

personally id have to get the southeastern from longfield to victoria then get another southern train back out to palace - but that might be affected by works too
Looks like driving instead to avoid the faff with trains

Southeastern have major engineering works planned that stop the high speed service on boxing day
that's the reason no boxing day game this year
